Dr. Lexi's Immune boosting, Anti-viral Protocol
Updated: Apr 9, 2020

While these recommendations may not be FDA approved or clinically tested to prove that they are effective against the Coronavirus 2019, I'm offering some tools and top tips that have been useful with viruses in the past. I hope this can offer you and your family something to proactively be doing in order to strengthen your own defenses. The body knows what to do, we just need to support it along the way.
Immune boosting/modulating Protocol
PREVENTION
Exercise, eliminate all food sensitivities and allergens, get good rest, surround yourself with positivity, and do the things you NEED to do to be your best self.
1. The essential building blocks (minerals and vitamins)
- Eating a mostly plant based diet
- Eating colorful foods
-Multivitamin-mineral
2. Probiotics
- just make sure it’s in a dark, glass container to protect from light and temperature or using a company you already know and trust where they have stable species. Some probiotics don’t have to be refrigerated.
3. Vitamin C
Kids: 500 mg a day Adults: 1,000 mg a day
*Top tip: I like getting a Vitamin C with BioFlavanoids
4. Fat Soluble Vitamins- they protect the gut lining, are anti-oxidants, and super immune boosting
-Vitamin A : 5,000 IU’s for kids, 10,000 IU’s for adults
**pregnant women shouldn't exceed 10,000 IU"s -Vitamin D: 5,000 IU’s for Kids, 10,000 IU’s for adutls -Vitamin E: 200 IU’s for Kids, 400 IU’s for adults
5. Zinc
Kids 5-10 mg a day Adults 10-15 mg a day
*Top Tip: I like
Carelson’s ACES-Zinc (it’s gels but you could open and squeeze into kids food) ADEK-Pro by Apex Energetics ADEK Biomulsion Liqua-A Apex Liqua-D Apex *there are other liquids forms
6. NAC or Glutathione
NAC: 600 mg 2x/day for adults Glutathione is usually provided in liquids: 5 mL or 1 tsp 2x/day
7. Anti-Viral Supplement or Tincture
1 Dosage a day for prevention.
Suggested supplements for adults: ViraCon by Vital Nutrients Viracid by Orthomolecular X-Viromen by Apex Energetics
Kids:
Berry Well Immune by Vital Nutrients Wish Garden’s Kick it Immune VitaKids Immune by Douglas Labs
8. For the immune depleted: Immune Balance Complex by Biogenesis Immunitone Plus by Designs for Health Super Bio Vegetarian by Priority One
Mycoceutics Ten Mushroom Blend by EcuNugenics
Muschroom Complex SAP by Nutritional Fundamentals for Health
9. L-Lysine
I have seen through the "grapevine" that L-lysine might help fight CoVid 19 specifically. This is what we would use to treat Herpes Simplex Virus.
Kids: 250-300 mg /day
Adults: 500 mg/day
WHEN YOU GET SICK
Essentially you will increase everything to 3x/day. All the things you’ve decided to take internally, that all goes up. These dosage stay up until 3 days after symptoms have resolved. Then you can go back down to the preventative dosage until the household is healthy. Press pause until next season.
Lifestyle
I have a onesy, that’s very attractive I might add ; ), and this is my sick suit. You need to SWEAT IT OUT. Bundle up, increase your supplements, drink some tea, isolate, and get better. Always quarantine yourself. This has always been the case with Influenza, Covid 19, and any other virus going around.

Take a bath
Take a bath and soak in epson salt and your favorite essential oils:
Thieves from Young Living
On Guard by Doterra
Eucalyptus
Thyme
Rosemary- to name a few.
Soak in the bath for 10-20 minutes. Once you get out, immediately bundle up.
*If you get dizzy, get out immediately and CAREFULLY. *Those with diabetes, MS, high blood pressure, pregnancy, and cancers should be careful with this recommendation. In fact, it's probably best you skip the whole body submersion in a bath.
Top tip: Contrast Hydro to your lungs- have a pan full of cool water and a hand towel. Take this hand towel and place over the chest. Let the coolness be warmed up by your own body temperature. Then dip the towel in the bath water and place that over the chest. Repeat x 3
Top Tip: That cool towel can be used to place around your neck and ears to keep you from over heating. But the moment you get dizzy, get out of the tub.
Have Tea

Make Fresh ginger root tea.
Chop off about the size of your thumb worth from the ginger root. It will be about 4 tbsp total. You can take a potato peeler and peel the outer layer.
Chop into large chunks or slices. It does not have to be small.
Put 4 cups of water and ginger into a pan and bring to a boil. Simmer, covered for 10 minutes.
Strain off into a tea pot.
Place 2 tea bags of whichever tea you would like and some honey. Traditional Medicinal or Yogi tea’s Gypsy Cold, Throat Coat, Breathe Easy, Echinacea.
Add a little honey and drink throughout the day.
THYME
It’s antiviral AND has an affinity to the lungs.
Steep 1 tbsp of dried thyme in your ginger tea.
